I. Dàn bài

1. Introduction:

  • Introduce the topic/issue. (Giới thiệu chủ đề/vấn đề)

2. Body:

  • Each paragraph discusses one main argument with supporting evidence/examples. (Mỗi đoạn thảo luận về một lập luận chính với bằng chứng/ví dụ hỗ trợ)
  • Start each paragraph with a topic sentence that clearly states the argument. (Bắt đầu mỗi đoạn bằng một câu chủ đề nêu rõ lập luận)

3. Counterargument Paragraph (Phản biện):

4. Conclusion

Topic: Should schools require students to wear uniforms?

Introduction:
School uniforms have been a hotly debated issue for many years. While some people believe that requiring students to wear uniforms is beneficial, others think it is an unnecessary restriction on freedom of expression. In my opinion, schools should require students to wear uniforms because they promote equality, improve discipline, and reduce distractions.

Body Paragraph 1:
One benefit of school uniforms is that they promote equality among students. When everyone is dressed the same, there is no way to tell who comes from a wealthy family and who does not. This can reduce social inequalities and make students feel more equal. For example, a study by the National Association of Secondary School Principals found that schools with uniform policies had fewer incidents of bullying related to clothing.

Body Paragraph 2:
In addition to promoting equality, school uniforms also improve discipline. Students are less likely to misbehave when they are dressed in a uniform. This is because uniforms create a sense of belonging and pride in the school community. Moreover, school uniforms eliminate distractions caused by fashion trends or inappropriate dress. This can help students focus more on their studies and less on their appearance.

Counterargument Paragraph:
It is true that some people believe that school uniforms restrict students’ individuality and creativity. However, I disagree with this viewpoint. Students can still express themselves through their personalities, interests, and extracurricular activities. Additionally, schools can offer options within the uniform policy, such as different styles of shirts or skirts.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, school uniforms should be mandatory in schools because they promote equality, improve discipline, and reduce distractions. By implementing a uniform policy, schools can create a sense of community and pride while saving families money on clothing expenses.
